The order, which was booked in 3Q26, includes 14 Toro® LH621i loaders, 10 Toro® TH663i trucks, and a Sandvik DD422i development jumbo. Deliveries are expected to begin in June 2027 and continue through early 2028.

The equipment will be operated and maintained by Northern Star Mining Services (NSMS), Northern Star Resources’ wholly owned in-house mining services division.

Northern Star Resources operates several opencast and underground gold mines across three production centres: Kalgoorlie and Yandal in Western Australia, and Pogo in Alaska, USA.

“Keeping underground production moving depends on both equipment performance and the support behind it,” said Craig Johnston, Vice President, Sales Area Australia and New Zealand, Sandvik Mining.

“Our local teams will continue working closely with Northern Star throughout equipment delivery, commissioning and ongoing lifecycle management.”

Toro TH663i and Toro LH621i are engineered for the most demanding underground mining environments. They offer advanced connectivity, real-time analytics, automation readiness, and superior maintainability, enabling high payloads, lower operating cost per tonne, and safer work sites.
